'The revolutionary is a dedicated man. He has no interests of his own, no affairs, no feelings, no attachments, no belongings, not even a name. Everything in him is absorbed by a single exclusive interest, a single thought, a single passion - the revolution.' Author Sergie Nechayev gives us his thoughts on the preferred character traits of the successful revolutionary; however, sensitivity and open-mindedness were probably not among those which impressed him.....this is an interesting read, although extreme and melodramatic, with which modern parallels can be drawn.
