Toolkit For Change - The Groundswell Self Help Manual

Product Information

An invaluable handbook for anyone wanting to take collective direct action for social change. It contains practical advice and information on forming and running groups effectively and inclusively, developing campaigns, putting on events, fundraising, accessing and producing information, using IT, the media, and sharing and developing skills. Illustrated and annotated with photos, sample constitutions, policies, structures for different kinds of groups and examples of successful groups, campaigns and projects. Included are glossaries of terms and a comprehensive directory of organisations involved in social change issues from homelessness, mental health, sustainable living, travellers and land rights, arts, co-operatives and collectives, to law and finance, disability, refugee issues, and much more.

It's from a few years ago (early 2000s) so we can't speak for the contacts list at the back still being useful, but the rest of it is still relevant to anyone doing community organising.
